Swan 100-204
February 2007

Swan 100-204 is moved in BTC in January 1007. The grey boat in the background is Swan 100-203

Looking down on the boat. The main bulkheads are in.

Swan 100-203, in the foreground, is having the deck fitted. Drain holes have to be aligned and the deck trimmed. Swan 100-204 is sitting to the left.

Notice the cut out on the bow of the boat. This is so the stem head can be anchored into place. The loads on the headstay chainplate are enormous and a very strong attachment must be built.

To the left of center, the piece with the three bungs in the top, is one of the many drains built into the boat. All hatches, windows, collars, and vents will have drain tubes that connect to one of these units.

The reason the upper forward section of Ygal's bathroom is blocked off is because it is part of the engine room vent system. The photo above is part of the elaborate stainless steel vent baffles that carries air to and from the engine room. This is the starboard aft vent on 100-203, but 100-204 will be the same.

This is looking down into what will shortly be the engine room.

Looking down into Ygal's cabin. Stainless steel plates are glued between the longitudinal stringers to help reduce prop wash noise in the aft cabins. Once they are all glued into place, the remained of the space is filled with foam to further insulate the hull. This helps to create a very quiet boat under motor and sail.
