GENERAL
The Swan 77 has often been referred to as the Queen of the cruising Swans. Elegant and regal, she represents the ultimate in luxury. Her full body and massive interior volume provides accommodations normally found only on much larger vessels. She performs well in light airs, but her true brilliance is realized in heavy weather where she behaves beautifully and responsively on all points of wind.
Originally built as “Desperado”, Varsovie is hull #1 of the Swan 77. Her dark blue hull is trimmed with a gold cove stripe. She is the original un-modified design, without the pinched stern of some of her sisters. Her sail handling systems are unsurpassed, allowing single-handed sailing or full crew racing. She has a Nirvana hydraulic furling boom with a captive main halyard winch. Raising and lowering the mainsail is accomplished via a hand held remote. She has a full complement of hydraulic winches an a hydraulic jib furler.
The interior is in excellent condition. Extra large hull windows in the main salon add lots of light to beautifully varnished cabinetry. The glowing teak and holly floors are set of by plush, soft, tan leather. In addition to the owner's stateroom, there are three guest cabins plus crew quarters. Every imaginable comfort is found aboard this lovely vessel.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The interior of Varsovie is in spectacular condition, having been extremely well cared for since launch. She has a full width owner’s stateroom aft. All guest cabins have ensuite heads and both of the large guest cabins on the port side have walk-in showers.

At the same time her exhaust system was analyzed and a new water drop exhaust was installed. The drive shaft was replaced along with all bearings and the Max Prop was sent back to the factory for a total refurbishment. Additional supports were built for the transmission and all fuel tanks were polished.
Full air conditioning effectively chills the interior even on the hottest days.

Rig
The rig on Varsovie is possibly the best found on any Swan 77 built. In 1996 her rig was completely changed including a new Nautor built mast and Navtec rod rigging. A custom Dutch built Nirvana furling boom was installed along with a new captive main halyard winch located below decks. The mainsail can be raised, reefed, and lowered via a hand held remote and performs beautifully in all wind and sea conditions. The jib is on a hydraulic Reckmann furler. A Lewmar Commander system controls the hydraulic winches. In all, Varsovie is a very easy boat to sail and can be sailed by one person. However, with her removable coffee grinders, a full racing crew can effectively sail her.
